Heather and Nathan got married at Stony Creek park. The day started off sunny and warm, as the two got ready separately. The wedding started in the woods, in the most beautiful landscape I have been able to be apart of. This family is everything family stands for. Support, love, trust, and so much emotion. The love that surrounds Heather and her two twin sisters (both who I have the opportunity to photograph), is insane. About 3/4ths through the ceremony it began to sprinkle, but nothing alarming. As we moved on to the bridal portraits, it began to rain harder then I have ever gotten caught in. I looked at Heather and asked her if she wanted to call it quits, she replied, “no, I can’t control the weather, and I’ll only wear this dress one time.” My heart exploded with joy.
Although, one of my cameras was ruined during that time, her attitude just lifted me up. Because that is what married is about right? It’s not all sunshine and perfection, sometimes it can be messy and chaotic. But if it’s real, it wont matter.
During the reception it cleared up and we finished all of the bridal portraits that I needed, and a beautiful sunset appeared too. It was a perfectly, chaotic, beautiful, and fun day.
