Megan and Kris eloped in St. Augustine, Florida on Halloween. Originally their wedding was planned next year, but because COVID and the realization that things may not get much better, they decided to bump it up early just in case things got worse.
I met them at their cute little inn early afternoon on Saturday. I actually flew out that morning because I had a wedding in Michigan the night prior. I arrived and they had music playing, as they got ready with Kristianne’s MOH. We had a calm early afternoon, taking portraits around their inn, and one by one family and friends came. We photographed family images and then moved on to the joyful ceremony – hosted by the kindest officiant I have ever met.
We popped champagne under the lights, embraced the sprinkle of rain and breeze that came off the ocean, and finished the night walking underneath the stars in the decorative street lights. It was perfect.
