I looked forward to this wedding for a full year. Seeing this family again felt like home – and I was so excited to be the one to document these two. Our engagements were SO fun- and I just knew I would love this wedding too.
Not one moment I didn’t smile throughout this day of celebration. I’ve been so excited to share their journey from my lens.
Their story: ‘Mitchell and R’Keshia met at DePaul University while working for their respective basketball teams. They remained friends for 3 years and kept in touch during COVID. After a long wait for Mitchell, the two slowly began to get to know each other on a deep level, and began building a stronger friendship that would eventually become the foundation of their future relationship. They talked on the phone/FaceTime, went to visit one another and just spent quality time with each other whenever they could. Then on May 23, 2021, Mitchell asked R’Keshia to be his girlfriend.’
