I met Chelsea from a wedding I photographed about two years ago – and kept seeing her pop up in my life afterward [because the bride and I became best friends].
Chelsea has grown so near and dear to my heart, and I am so lucky that she has appeared in my life non-stop.
The moment she got engaged, I received the kindest, sweetest, most bad ass message from her that I could have ever hoped for.
Chelsea is an artist, and therefore, appreciates the fine-art side of my photography.
Shortly after meeting Chelsea, I met her [now husband] fiancé, David.
Both of them share quirks of each other, but yet, are completely different.
After photographing every weekend, this job does start to feel routine – and every wedding I challenge myself to think outside the box to show the uniqueness of each couple.
For Chelsea and David, it was giving their bridal party weird cues like, “you’ve lost your glasses and cannot find them anywhere,” or “the ground is lava!”
I’m sure their party thought I was nuts, but I also know that Chelsea and David are more people who goof around then smise.. [I take that back David did it often during his individual portraits, lol].
Finally at night, because their theme was Harry Potter I got a plethora of people to help me light them up, throw eco-fetti, and produce their own magical image.
Thanks for letting me do my thing, you two. <3
