Bry + Ty <3
Bryan is my cousin that I have had the opportunity to grow up with. We are siblings more than we are cousins, and to that I have our parents to thank, that they made that a priority. Our family has had a few hard years, and although I’d love to go into detail about the pain that has brought us closer – that’s not what this day was about.
I asked Bryan and Ty if I could be the one to photograph their wedding. It’s a little morbid, but as a wedding photographer I am aware of the last moments I get to document. Moments frozen in time that become iconic as the years move on. Moments we can stop and reflect on even if we don’t remember them word for word.
This day meant a LOT for me to document. From documenting my own grandparents, to the love these two share for their dog, who has also been through it all with them. I spent all early afternoon with them and they allowed me to create when I wanted to – as well as cared for me to take moments to myself.
I even brought my 35mm film camera to this wedding, which I will scatter some of those images at the end.
My family is my absolute hard, and I am so lucky to say that. No matter what we all believe, we all cherish one another – and how rare is that to be able to say? We’ve been through so much together, and that in itself was worth celebrating – but these two and their strong love – their rock solid foundation and their hearts are even more worthy of celebrating.
Thank you for letting me document this new and big step for both of you. The 9 years was worth the wait 😉
